New Year Ski Holidays & Short Breaks in France – 2020 / 2021
Due to the ongoing challenges provided by Covid-19 restrictions – we have sadly taken the decision not to operate the Aravis Lodge this coming winter ski season (2020/21).
It’s the home and heart of Ski Weekender, but without the full team providing our awesome service, and the exciting buzz of guests sharing in a sociable, convivial atmosphere, it just wasn’t going to provide the same experience.
And we don’t want to do things by half…
However, it will be back for Winter 2021/22 – full details of which will be coming soon.
This festive season we will be offering a range of New Year weeklong, New Year ski weekends and New Year midweek breaks – allowing you to ski and party in style, whatever your time commitments.
On top of the skiing and our legendary service, enjoy sumptuous food and drink, great company and an infamous New Year’s Eve casino party complete with our own firework display.
These New Year packages are available in the Aravis Lodge for skiing in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand.
What better way is there to see in the New Year!

New Year Ski Experience for families, couples and groups of any size
Our aim is to make skiing at New Year 2020 – 2021 a special occasion for all. The ski slopes are open as normal over the New Year period, so whichever dates you choose you can be sure that our legendary service will be running to maximise your New Year ski short break time on the slopes, minimise the hassle and add to the fun!
New Year’s Eve in the Aravis Lodge is a memorable affair! It has become tradition here to celebrate the New Year in style – you are invited to join us in dinner jackets (or suits/jackets) for the gents and evening dress or similar for the ladies. Dressing up should add a little something to the evening and always provides the local villagers with some amusement.
The night starts in the Lodge bar with plenty of chilled bubbles and canapés. We then serve a sumptuous hot and cold buffet with plenty of red and white wine. After dinner put on your poker face as the party continues with a casino evening, where the ski team double as croupiers!
Finally – our very own fireworks display welcomes in the New Year, before continuing the party back in the Lodge bar.
New Year’s Day will be a normal ski day, starting with a cooked breakfast to set you up for the day.
