Half Term Ski Holidays & Short Breaks in France – February 2021
Designed with families in mind, we offer half term 4-day Ski Weekends, 3-day Ski Midweeks and Weeklong half term ski holidays from our base at the Aravis Lodge, skiing the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand in the stunning Aravis Mountains.
We appreciate it can sometimes be hard work taking children skiing, so we have designed our half term ski holiday service to make sure you can still have a relaxing break whilst the kids have plenty of fun.
All of our half term ski packages at the Lodge include chalet-board catered accommodation with a hot buffet breakfast, afternoon tea with cake, and wine included with your 3-course evening meal (an earlier children’s tea time is also available).
In addition you will receive your full Aravis region ski lift pass, flexible afternoon / evening airport transfers from Geneva, and support from our dedicated onsite ski team.
Due to the ongoing challenges provided by the Covid-19 restrictions – we have sadly taken the decision not to operate the Aravis Lodge this coming winter ski season (2020/21).
It’s the home and heart of Ski Weekender, but without the full team providing our awesome service, and the exciting buzz of guests sharing in a sociable, convivial atmosphere, it just wasn’t going to provide the same experience.
And we don’t want to do things by half…
However, it will be back for Winter 2021/22 – full details of which will be coming soon.
Additional Half Term Short Ski Break Options for 2021
For those looking for a more independent stay, or if you fancy exploring another resort for a change, we now also have limited availability at the 2-star Hotel Boule de Neige in Samoens, 3-star Hotel Coeur des Neiges in St Gervais, and 4-star Hotel la Chemenaz in Les Contamines during the half term period, giving you a wider range of options.
Your holiday package still includes comfortable accommodation (breakfast and 3-course evening meal at Boule de Neige and Hotel la Chemenaz and B&B-only at Coeur des Neiges), your area lift pass and your airport transfers from Geneva for flights scheduled to arrive between 15:00 – 21:15, and depart after 16:00, as well as our great service from the moment you inquire. There just isn’t a member of our team onsite, leaving you free to determine your day as you please.
Half Term 2021 Short Ski Breaks – Dates & Prices
In 2021, many schools in the UK have their spring half term holiday between Monday 15th – Friday 19th February.
Unlike most other ski companies, we keep running our 3- and 4-day short breaks throughout this period.
Getting away for just a few days, avoiding the rush and chaos of a Saturday – Saturday holiday, is something our long-time half term regulars really appreciate.
This week is by far the most popular period of the entire ski season, and always sells out long before other dates, often as early as the previous May for midweek breaks. Therefore, we highly recommend booking early, to ensure you can secure the dates and location you are looking for!

Included in all prices: ski lift pass (full region), comfortable accommodation & short airport transfers from Geneva.
Weekend Ski Breaks – Half Term 2021
This year, we have the following 4-day weekend ski breaks running over the February half term period:
- Thursday 11th – Monday 15th February
- Thursday 18th – Monday 22nd February
From £699 per adult, £649 per child (aged between 5-14 years by the day of arrival).
Midweek Ski Breaks – Half Term 2021
This year, we have the following 3-day midweek ski break running over the February half term period:
- Monday 15th – Thursday 18th February
From £519 per adult, £479 per child (aged between 5-14 years by the day of arrival).
Weeklong Ski Holidays over February Half Term 2021
We will also be offering weeklong ski holiday packages for the February half term 2021 period, with stays running on a Monday – Monday or Thursday – Thursday basis.
Both of these formats will usually allow you to find much cheaper flights and less crowded airports than traditional Saturday – Saturday ski holidays, whilst helping you to optimise your valuable time away.
Prices are from £1199 per adult, £1109 per child, again for a catered hotel stay including lift passes and airport transfers via Geneva in our standard Monday / Thursday transfer windows.

The friendly onsite ski team at the Aravis Lodge will ensure that every need is met for your family during the half term ski or snowboard holiday. Little things we do help keep your ski holiday hassle-free and memorable include:

- Ski lessons arranged for you in Le Grand Bornand
- Ski fitting onsite for adults; quick and easy fitting for the kids using our friendly neighbouring shop
- Free evening entertainment for all, including sledging and snow-shoe walking (mulled wine for the adults)
- A comfortable and safe environment for kids to play and for parents to relax
- Earlier kids’ tea available for those who require it
- Return airport transfers and daily slopes transfers in our private minibuses
